| Ray Commander, originally from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, lived and worked in California for 20 years as a general building contractor. He operated his construction company and built residential homes. Ray also specialized in residential and commercial large-loss restoration work for State Farm, Allstate and Farmer's Insurance companies. He retains his contractor's license in California and holds a residential contractor's license in South Carolina along with a home inspector's license.
Ray met his wife, Bette, in Castro Valley, California. She ran her own business in the cosmetic industry for 10 years prior to working in the construction field.
Ray and Bette would travel to their second home in Irmo, South Carolina several times a year to visit with family and friends. After Ray sold his construction company, they were able to move to South Carolina permanently. Ray and Bette enjoy living on Lake Murray, near Ballentine, and are very happy to be in the Columbia area. The Commanders are active in the community and have 3 children and 11 grandchildren.
Ray and Bette are involved in continuing education in order to keep up to date on current real estate changes.
